DURHAM -- Metroland's Durham Region Media Group (MDRMG) has been honoured by a North American newspaper association for its web initiatives.

MDRMG took home top honours for its website from the Suburban Newspapers of America, receiving first prize for Best Local Community Web Site and Best Overall Local News Site in Class C, which is for sites produced by a non-daily newspaper or group with a total circulation over 100,000.
